  • Read it, love it. Ingrid Newkirk is an inspiration and she has made it clear that every single one of us have to power to make the world a better place for the animals. We can all make kind choices! If you haven’t already, get this book!

  • I am so excited for Newkirk’s latest book. Learning about how similar we are to our animal friends fosters more compassion and motivates us to make kinder choices for animals in our daily lives.

  • I can’t wait to read it ! It’s largely because of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA that I went vegan and learned to make other compassionate choices in my life. She’s inspiring!

    • Heather, so inspiring to hear the impact Ingrid and PETA has had on you and on so many of us. Back in the 80’s when I was in my 20’s – wayyy before the internet and social media – even though I was decades from going vegan, because of PETA there were three things my compassionate me knew: 1. You don’t eat veal because the baby cows were isolated into tiny crates, 2. You don’t eat foie gras because of the cruel force feeding of the ducks and geese to blow up their livers, and 3. You DON’T WEAR FUR. These messages somehow found me all because of PETA and their tireless work to reach people like me who care but didn’t know.

  • Ingrid’s book will surely inspire readers to start valuing other animals for who they are as individuals, not for the ways they can be exploited. Rejecting harm to other living beings can be as simple as choosing personal care products that are not tested on animals; leaving animal-derived foods off our plates; and buying sustainable vegan fashions instead of those made from wool, angora, leather, or feathers.

  • When we begin to understand our fellow Earthlings and view them as the intelligent individuals they are, it becomes impossible to keep thoughtlessly exploiting them for experiments, food, fashion, entertainment, or any other reason. I’m sure this book will be an eye-opener and a life-changer for many.

    • Lucy, beautifully said. When I look out my window and watch the birds in my backyard flit around and talk to each other, and splash and play in the water, I’m in such awe. We could learn so much from our fellow earthlings if we just stopped, opened our hearts and minds just a little bit, and watched and listened with new eyes. Thank you for your heartfelt wisdom and compassion.
