Cauliflower Makeover: From Plain Jane To Spicy Superstar!

Tonia and her buffalo cauliflower wings

Watch this little veggie, known as cauliflower, go from Plain Jane to Spicy Superstar in only 20 minutes!  Tonia L. Carrier joins the JaneUnChained team and shows us how to make air-fried buffalo cauliflower wings that will blow your mind.  I don’t know about you, but buffalo cauliflower wings are a favorite of mine.  If I go to a restaurant and they are on the menu, I have no choice but to order them.  I just can’t help it.  So I am excited to learn how to make them at home.  I suspect I will be doing it often 🙂

Tonia L. Carrier is a hairstylist, independent filmmaker, and vegan activist from Michigan. She went vegan four and a half years ago and since then, she enjoys spreading information about veganism whenever and wherever she can! Tonia is a powerhouse vegan YouTuber and absolutely loves making videos for her YouTube channel “Your Vegan Friend Tonia”.  Not only that, but you can often find her giving speeches at various vegfests, spreading the plant-based message to non-vegans in the audience.  She is also a new contributor for JaneUnChained News Network and we are so excited to have her on the team!

The Recipe

Steps for the Buffalo Cauliflower in Air Fryer:
Dip frozen or fresh cauliflower in flour of your choice. Shake off excess. Dip it in plant milk of your choice. Dip again in flour. Shake off excess. Place in air fryer basket or in the oven (you can use parchment paper) and cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Take the cauliflower out of air fryer basket and put it in a bowl. Pour over your favorite buffalo sauce and stir to make sure all sides of the cauliflower are covered. Put it back in air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes.  Feel free to add more buffalo sauce if desired.
For the Vegan Ranch Dip:
Mix 1 C. vegan mayonnaise with 1 C. plain vegan yogurt.
Add in 1 package of ranch dip/dressing mix. (make sure you check the ingredients on the packet to insure it’s a vegan ranch mix).
Serve with celery sticks if desired!
We hope you will try this recipe at home and share with us how you liked it!
