Continue Your Activism While Staying At Home

JaneUnChained

Forty Plus JaneUnChained contributors joined in a massive Zoom meeting to connect and discuss how everyone is keeping their activism alive even with the stay at home order we are under, due to the Coronavirus outbreak.  There are so many creative ways to continue to be a voice for the voiceless, even if you are stuck at home.  Watch the below video and hear JNN contributors from all over the world share how they are continuing to move forward with the fight for justice.

One super easy thing you can do while at home is to film every vegan recipe and meal that you are making at home and share it with the world.  This is a great way to spread the fun of veganism.  Many of the contributors are already doing that and we love it!  Jane Elizabeth is launching a new digital show called Plant-Based Power Hour that will focus on vegan athletes and breaking down the stereotypes associated with the athletic world.  Amazing!  Donny Moss of TheirTurn is remotely focusing on shutting down the wet markets in New York City. Lindsey Baker has taken to the social media app Rizzle to speak for the animals and veganism!  Katie Wilson is organizing ways to do virtual sanctuary tours so that people can still feel connected to animals, even from their living room.  Talk about creativity!  Many contributors are also coming up with ideas for new digital shows to start during the stay at home orders.  So many options!  Ellen Dent confined herself into a small cage for an hour, filming it, demonstrating the plight of animals being confined for their whole lives on factory farms. This #CoronavirusConfinementChallenge is being organized by The Save Movement. Please take the challenge! Many other activists followed suit and also did this on their social media.  Jane Velez-Mitchell, founder of JaneUnChained News Network, is doing daily virtual interviews with different professionals and activists in the vegan/animal rights world, discussing major animal issues that are related to the Coronavirus.  Jane also discusses how you can buy a tripod (on amazon/remotely) for your cell phone if you are sheltering alone, in order to keep your footage professional looking or use a stabilizer, should you be at home with a partner or roommate.

Use your creativity to stay active during this challenging time, and continue to speak for animals and promote veganism via social media.  Stay at home, follow the government guidelines, stay safe, and keep on fighting the good fight.  We are all in this together and we will get through this challenging time.  Many activists have found comfort in being able to continue using their voice for the animals, during this time of forced solitude.  We hope that you will do the same.

Look at this incredible group of JaneUnChained contributors who gathered, all with one mission in mind…to continue to fight for the plight of animals, even while confined to their homes.  Keep up the amazing work everyone!
