All of the ingredients are not just good for your outsides… They’re good for your insides too!

We’re LIVE for JaneUnChained in Los Angeles, where Lisa Levinson and Vanessa Marsot are making some chocolate facial masks that you can wear and eat! Tune in for some special surprise offers, as they discuss their upcoming Holistic Fitness: A Mind-Body-Spirit Vegan Retreat in Hawaii, where they’ll be making fruit facials and enjoying yoga, meditation, one-on-one fitness consultations with a trainer to the stars John Pierre, healing rituals, and sacred site and animal sanctuary tours. Alessandra Rupar-Weber even takes them to meet newly rescued calves from Hawaii Lava Flow Animal Rescue Network. Lisa explains you can also learn how to hula dance and learn other Hawaiian traditions. As a special treat, Vanessa will be hosting pole classes! This retreat is a co-production of Ellora Wellness, In Defense of Animals, Vegan Spirituality, Vegan Aloha, and Living With Harmony

Lisa and Vanessa say, “Vegan cheese!”

While Lisa smashes the omega-rich avocados for the mask with a fork, Vanessa points out that it is World Plant Milk Day! She explains there are so many plant milk options to buy at the store, and you can also make your own plant milk easily at home as she does! Vanessa shows us the chia seeds she soaked prior to the show which is a great exfoliant and full of antioxidants. Sea moss helps with skin renewal and collagen regeneration according to Vanessa. You can also use it as a binder for baking instead of eggs, and a thickener for recipes like pudding. Next, Vanessa adds date nectar that is great for your skin, clearing away acne and scars. It also adds sweetness too! When making a chocolate mask the key ingredient is the cacao, which is packed with antioxidants and is surprisingly great for your skin! The vanilla is optional but it’s great for your skin and it makes the mask delectable for your taste buds. Gwenna warns to use natural vanilla extract because the artificial vanilla may be extracted from beaver butts. Gross… Mix it all together and you have a mask that is designed to make you beautiful inside and out! Try making your own edible chocolate mask at home with the recipe below. Remember to save some for your face!

Gwenna, Lisa, and Vanessa are still beautiful even with bumpy chocolate smeared all over their faces!
