We Are Destroying Our Planet by Killing Them!

#JaneUnChained LIVE at a pig slaughter near Downtown Los Angeles, California, where, reportedly, thousands of baby pigs are killed daily. Pork chops? Bacon bits? Sliced ham? Meet your meat face to face!

A group of activists pose for a pic outside of the slaughterhouse.

Activists gather with the group Los Angeles Animal Save, the largest activist group of the international organization The Save Movement, lead by Amy Jean Davis. Texans father and son Marlon and Collin Rosin meet Shaun Monson, director of the documentaries Earthlings and UNITY and producer of the new film Dominion, along with many caring activists, including Animal Alliance Network’s Eder Lopez, just returning from a global animal rights’ tour.

Signs begging for mercy for these animals line the slaughterhouse walls.

These babies deserved a better fate. They only wanted to live and be loved like any other sentient being. Instead, our species decided they should die in droves for products that are correlated to several sicknesses. There is no necessity for humans to consume these animals. The World Health Organization has categorized processed meats as a Group 1 carcinogen, along with tobacco products. Eating animal products can make you sick. Furthermore, according to the recent report by The United Nations’  Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the use of “land intensive animal products,” is one of the main reasons why our climate is changing for the worst. They predict that we have twelve years to cut back on the use of animal products like these and make other sustainable changes, or we are looking at a “irreversible” climate damage.

One activist’s message reads loud and clear on his sign. Follow him @369lovegan on Instagram.

In a day and age when there are so many other options we can choose to eat instead, why are we still doing this to other animals? Billions of animals are killed yearly as the result of the animal agriculture industry. The demand for meat is rising, despite all the information of its adverse effects on our health. One solution so people can still eat meat, may be lab-grown meat. Many lab-grown meat companies have popped up in recent years and they claim to be able to grow a chicken nugget from cells from a feather. Although highly controversial, it may be a solution. One thing we know is lab-grown meat doesn’t scream when you cut into it. at any point. Please choose compassion if you haven’t already and go vegan so no more animals will have to suffer like these poor souls.

Tell us these poor creatures didn’t deserve a better fate. Photo: Animal Alliance Network

  • Kudos to these animal rights activists. Meaning no disrespect, I’d have said, Fucking lay off the animals. Lay off the fucking animals, sounds as though they’re calling animals, fucking animals.
