On this day she made us a tofu scramble and a protein smoothie! 

Jessica never thought she would go vegan. She is from the Midwest and was raised on ranch with horses. She grew up eating meat and lots of it. During the course of working with Patrizia on her one woman show, Jessica was inspired by all she learned about veganism ,and she decided to make the transition. She absolutely never thought she would ever be able to stop eating dairy cheese, which we know can be incredibly addictive. But Jessica found great nut cheese alternatives and ditched that as well!

For a living, Jessica, teaches people how to perform solo and directs solo shows with Soaring Solo. She helps people make their lives theatrical. The most challenging part of creating a solo show is figuring out what stories in a lifetime of countless stories to include in a one hour show. She is currently writing a book that will teach people the steps of making their own successful one person show! She has several of her clients with shoes coming up so check out the website below.

Jessica promises that the food she is making is going to be easy for anyone to make, and she appears to make these recipes very effortlessly. Jessica adds a little curry powder to give the tofu eggs scramble a nice yellow color. She also makes the protein smoothie with spinach, frozen fruit, flax milk  and protein powder. Easy as can be you have a tofu scramble and a protein smoothie to get your day off to a great start!

PROTEIN FRUIT SMOOTHIE
Ingredients & Directions:
In a blender/bullet add a handful of power greens (kale, spinach, etc.), add 1 ½ cup of non dairy milk (coconut, almond, soy, cashew, flax, etc.),  1 cup of mixed berries, 1 sliced banana, (for colder smoothie slice and freeze fruit the day before), 1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein powder.
Then blend all of these ingredients for 30 secs to 1 minute. Take off the blender and handshake the unit, then replace on blender and blend again for additional 20 seconds.
Remove from blender, pour and enjoy!

 

TOFU SCRAMBLE
Ingredients & Directions:
Turn on stove to medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of olive oil
Then crumble in your hands a slice ¼ block of tofu into the pan
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast and 1 teaspoon of curry powder, and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt, and a dash of black pepper. Mix until tofu is blended with seasoning to appear yellow and it is ready to serve with fresh sliced avocado and toast!
