The End of Puppy Mills? That's the Hope!

West Hollywood, California – October 18th, 2017   LIVE coverage of the historic news conference celebrating California’s new animal rights law: The Pet Rescue & Adoption Act! It says dogs, cats & rabbits offered in California stores must come from shelters & rescues, NOT puppy mills! The hope is this will spread nationwide, putting an end to puppy mills everywhere! Social Compassion In Legislation sponsored the bill with Assemblymember Matt Dababneh. #janeunchained
Judie Mancuso, the President of Social Compassion in Legislation, led the news conference, joined by Katie Cleary of World Animal News, Joanna Krupa of Angels for Animal Rescue and Simone Reyes, also of Social Compassion in Legislation. It was held at Healthy Spot in West Hollywood, a compassionate pet store that advocated for the bill.
Jane Velez-Mitchell of JaneUnChained.com holds Bonsai, the rescue from the Carson shelter who became the face of AB485, and who still needs a forever home. If you are interested in adopting, please see info below.
