Mama Cow and Baby Rescued from Slaughterhouse!

Unbelievable Rescue of a Newly Born Calf and her Momma from a Slaughterhouse!

Watch the dramatic scene unfold LIVE at a cow slaughterhouse near Los Angeles! Thanks to Earthlings’ director/producer Shaun Monson and Los Angeles Animal Save’s Amy Jean Davis, activist Simone Reyes was able to negotiate the release of mother cow and her newborn calf. Slaughterhouse owner Anthony DiMaria hugged Simone as the momma cow and her newborn baby calf left the slaughterhouse alive! Momma and baby were taken to the Malibu estate belonging to Emmy & Grammy award winning songwriter/animal activist Diane Warren, where they are happy and thriving. The Save Movement is love based and is changing the world. • ~ I loved watching this happen live ~ So glad they are safe and Anthony was compassionate enough to give Simone this baby and mama ~ Let’s hope for more compassion ~ mgf

  • God bless this slaughterhouse owner, and all the others who were involved in freeing these non-human animals. Also, I agree with Jane when she said that we are witnessing the evolution of the human species. Please see this video of Eckhart Tolle talking about this same issue: http://www.eckharttollenow.com/s/u9nyj0
Jane Velez-Mitchell: We really want to thank this facility owner for doing this, and for allowing us to come in. It’s extraordinary. It is absolutely extraordinary what we’re witnessing. I think we’re witnessing history. I think we’re witnessing the evolution of the human species, as we speak. Right now. We are seeing it. We are seeing it. These are slaughterhouse workers helping to remove a mother and child to safety. And this is how change works.

Anthony: We’re going to save you and your baby
Jane Velez-Mitchell: Hi baby. That’s the momma. There’s the momma, and there’s the baby. Just born. Hi angel.
Anthony: You’re going to a house. Pretty cool, right?
    Jane: Yeah, it is.
Anthony: The baby has to stay on his mother’s milk for seven days.for the colostrum that’s in the milk, so it builds up its immune system. That’s why I did not proceed with what we do here.
    Jane: Wow.
Anthony: Not bad for an owner of a slaughterhouse, huh?
Jane: Thank you, sir. Thank you.
    Anthony: You’re welcome, Jane.
Jane: And look at this angel. Look at this angel. And there’s–. Her? Is she a girl or a boy?
    Anthony: It’s a boy.
    Jane: It’s a little boy.
    Anthony: Let’s name him Charlie.
Jane: Charlie. Hey, Charlie. And there’s momma. There’s momma. And, look, momma’s so protective of the baby.
    Anthony: Yes.
Jane: And, you know, look at that face. Look at that face. You’re getting out. You’re getting out. Momma’s getting out, and her baby’s getting out.
Anthony: We have to get somebody to put that. Where is the truck? So, we’re going to release them from here.

Jane: It’s the consumers who have to look at this issue, not the people who work here. If people didn’t buy it, they wouldn’t have to die. So, this gentleman has given us these beautiful animals This is a pretty historic moment. History in the making. Right now. History in the making.

Jane: This is so emotional, I can’t even tell you.

Jane: This is a mother and child. The mother was supposed to be slaughtered. That’s why she’s here at a slaughterhouse. And it turned out she was pregnant. And she gave birth. And the slaughterhouse owner called Simone Reyes, and he had previously agreed during a tour that he gave to Simone and a whole bunch of other people, who are all heroes in the animal rights movement, that he would release one animal. And when this cow gave birth to this little baby, he called Simone and said, “Come on over. Come on over right now and get this baby. And she said, “Well, I want momma too.” And now she’s getting momma and baby. And, you know, all these animals are individuals. All of them. And most of them have babies. Most of them have babies. I don’t judge the workers here. Remember, there’s a time-honored legal concept, “If you order the hit, you are just as responsible, if not more, as the person who carries out the act.” This is entirely a consumer issue. It’s entirely a question of people not thinking about who, who.

Jane: You know, she’s so protective, and every mother is so protective. Every mother, no matter what species, is so protective of her child. You know, and think about it. Think about it. For cows to produce milk, they must be pregnant. For us to drink that milk, what happens to those babies? They have to be taken away from their mothers. And they grieve. Both mother and daughter grieve. Mother and son grieve. You know, there are so many alternatives to dairy products–hemp milk, rice milk, soy milk, almond milk, cashew milk. The list goes on and on. And no mother and child have to be removed from each other and torn apart. We really want to thank this facility owner for doing this, and for allowing us to come in.
