WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S TRENDING ON MANHATTAN’S UPPER WEST SIDE?

ORGANIZERS VOW: THIS IS THE START OF A CAMPAIGN!
Residents of Manhattan’s Upper West Side are demanding a new pet store in their neighborhood stop selling dogs and cats, saying every time someone buys a pet, a shelter animal is robbed of a home and often gets killed. Check out the video below! The store owner told me on the phone that she was on vacation and could not comment. I left my contact information inviting her to share her side any time. The demonstrators say they will continue their campaign in the hopes the store will stop all animal sales and, instead, offer shelter dogs and cats for adoption. Meanwhile, you won’t believe what was going on right next door! (Edited by Donna Dennison)

About 3 million dogs and cats are killed in animal shelters every year in the U.S. for lack of homes.
